Tuapse

It is located in the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar region, borders on the resort of Gelendzhik from one side, and on famous Large Sochi from the other. Ecologically favorable situation favors to an active recreation, climate furthers treatment and simply pleasant carefree rest. Environs of Tuapse are the first parks of ecological tourism in Krasnodar region. In 2002 the city was awarded as bonus as one of the cleanest and protected cities of Russia. Forests in the district occupy 9/10 of the territory. Climate in the district of Tuapse is determined by neighborhood with a warm and deep Black Sea and location of the Main Caucasian backbone as a barrier to air flows.

The period of most comfortable climatic conditions for rest and recreation lasts from middle of May to the end of October. In these terms during every month there are more than 20 days with the most favorable weather. The middle daily temperature in this period is 20-24C degrees.

For Tuapsinskiy district is characterized by extraordinary variety of “green” world, enriched at the same time with Crimean and Kolkhidian flora. In the district, there are 1200 types of plants counted in all.
In Tuapsinskiy area there are organized most interesting tours. You can enjoy the type of prehistoric dolmens aged of 6 thousand years, admire the size of Tulip tree. As well pleasant addition to rest will become a water trip in Ashe river valley, where there are mysterious waterfalls, gloomy caves and open-armed welcome in a local village – “aul”.

After returning to ‘civilization’, holiday-makers can merrily spend their time in a ‘Dolphin’ aqua-park, the greatest one in the coast (17 hills), or visit ‘Aqua-mir’ Dolphin pool, located in Nebug settlement.

Also, in Tuapsinskiy area is started building of ‘Summer Ice Palace’ as an ideal place for rest in siesta. In 8 kilometers from Tuapse is based a professional flying club in Agoy settlement. It is the only place in Russia, where it is possible to jump with a parachute to the sea, and similarly to execute the protracted tandem jump with an instructor from 3 kilometers. All of these make Tuapsinskiy area an excellent place for rest, recreation and treatment.
